We arrived yesterday in a slightly damp Charente-Maritime region of France for a week’s knitting on the French Treats holiday at Le Vieux Monastere. I am Fiona’s little helper for the week.
I am not sure which order the photos are going to come out (oh the technology!) but there will be (in some order) the view from the front of our cottage, the view from the back of our cottage, and some of our knitting workshop this morning. This morning we started with patchwork knitting, which we shall continue tomorrow. This afternoon we are going for a visit to a local chateau. Hopefully the rain will let up a bit!
‘ello, ‘ello – I remember you saying you were going to be Fiona’s ‘little helper’ Heather! (jammy sod).
I saw the pic of the work room in your later post and thought ‘I recognise that!’ – hello old friends – waves from a wet and windy Devon!
S’cuse all the exclamation marks.

Hello! They all wave back! It is a lovely place isn’t it. Tremendously relaxing location, and I had a wonderful time. Hope to see you in person soon! It seems like yonks since we have had a meet up.
Hope you have a wonderful time.
(Personally I’d like to see lots of pictures & hear all about it as I’m considering a French knitting workshop next year or the year after (if there is one) as it’s a big decision to come from Australia.)
I had a terrific time thank you.
I hope there are enough photos for you to help you with your decision (it would be lovely to see you, but I do understand it is a big trek from Australia). I realised with slight horror when I was sorting out my photos yesterday that I had taken 380 in only one week away! (there are a lot which are rather similar), so it is perhaps a good thing that I have pruned them a little 🙂
